Hi, I'm Kathleen. I learned to make patchwork quilts after making a new year's resolution to learn a traditional craft. Before that, I'd barely sewn a stitch since primary school. Eight or nine years on and I'm still in love with cutting up fabric and sewing it back together again.
I live in Cowden - an historic Kentish village close to Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and East Grinstead - with my husband and two little girls. Our home was once the village shop and, before that, a glove-making workshop using leather from the local tannery.
Now it hosts Cowden Quilt School: a welcoming studio space dedicated to turning the fabrics that make you happy into modern family heirlooms.
